Some Random Thoughts and Tidbits

I’ll try not to sound completely incoherent as I regurgitate my loosely organized thoughts. I’ve had an interesting few days.

First of all, version your work. Final Cut Pro went completely haywire on me and decided to delete and scale clips my timeline. Luckily the original footage hasn’t gone missing — but locking the cut for the Existential Question is going to have to wait. Damn. I was really excited, too. Still waiting on that website to link to. The point is – if I had created more versions I wouldn’t be looking at this problem. But I didn’t, and you all get to learn from my mistakes. You’ve been warned.

Some good news, though. We’ve had an offer to Skype with a very big and well recognized film-related company. I’m not sure how much we can say at the moment. We might be able to divulge more later. Not sure.

I might upload a resume template for all you student filmmakers applying for jobs or internships. Resumes are handy things to have.

Finally, I’ve started storyboarding stuff for Monitor out of a combination of boredom and sheer terror that we’ll never, ever hit our deadline. 16 months seems like a long time until production, but we still have to finalize our script, gather our crew, budget our film, find investors, storyboard the entire thing, cast people, do rehearsals, dress the set, take test footage with our equipment, and then schedule. And we have freelance on top of that.

Dear god.

Help.
