About Us

64 Bit Films is a small production company created by student filmmakers Jared Rosenthal, Luca Repola, and Evan Chyriwski. Luca and Evan, creators of Film Tips and Tutorials, teamed up with Jared, a budding director and writer, to develop not only a filmmaking team but also a superb educational source.

Our goal is not only to make great films but to teach you along the way — so you can learn from our mistakes without having to suffer the consequences. With your support and feedback, we can continue our journey and give you a window into our successes and failures, and provide you with a better chance to succeed on your own go around the block.

The Creators

Jared – director, writer and visual effects enthusiast began making short, stop-motion films at the age of 5. With the assistance of his dad he was able to complete his first, 3-minute film, called The Pursuit. From there he began making short films on his own, when at the age of 9 moved on to Flash animation on the computer. After two years developing his animation skills further, Jared got a small, DV Handicam as a gift, which he began to use to produce live-action short films.

After the completion of his first short film, War Game (no association to the feature-length film of a similar name) Jared submitted the film to a short film festival sponsored by a youth film program. From there he joined a summer conservatory, where at his second year of enrollment he met Luca – and the rest is history.

Luca – the cinematographer of 64 Bit Films, has been making films since he was 11. He started off using his family’s home video camera to make stop motion animations. He became interested with the idea of moving pictures and later on began using people as actors. His interest in video grew as he began to make connections in the industry through family friends. He began to learn more and more and later on developed his own filmmaking tutorial show called “Film Tips and Tutorials”.

In the summer of 2009, Luca directed a short film called “Saranoia”. It was accepted into the third tier of the youth division at the Tribeca Film Festival. That summer Luca met Jared and they started 64 Bit Films with Evan. Since then, Luca has been working with Jared and Evan to produce content for the company.
